Lydia. Local potter. Creative with clay. Keeper of the village secrets.
Tucked away up the hill in a pottery shed, a treasure trove of past creations, beautiful masterpieces as well as some frustrating kiln failures loved despite their flaws, is a talented lady willing to share her skills and her tales.
With a warm and friendly personality Lydia can guide both young and old from basic slabbed and coiled clay pottery through to trying your hands on the potter’s wheel. Every effort is deemed a piece of art and will be later kiln fired, glazed and fired again by Lydia before being posted out to you as a wonderful keepsake.
Like to get creative but don’t want to handle clay? Lydia also does glaze classes with pre fired white ware ready to make your own style.
